Even though Cafe Contact is located in Nişantaşı, where is a very crowded and central place, it attracts attention with its green view and nice garden. Cafe Contact is a classical French cafe, the decor is mostly wooden and in parissien style so that all the pieces are original and from France. It gives you the feeling of having a meal in a street cafe in Paris, with its “Tonet” type chairs, circular designed tables, street lamps and posters of some theatre plays and art exhibitions hanging on walls and street stones of Paris on the floor. There is an elite customer profile in Contact including the businessmen/ women, people who are shoping around and students. That’s why Contact suffers rush hours during the noun-breaks and afternouns, but it has only a capacity of 25-30 guests and it is open between 10.30 and 23.00. Le Cigare has been serving the elite customers of Istanbul for a period of 2 years. You can try the elite meals of the French cuisine at this elite restaurant. The most significant characteristics of Le Cigare is the fact that it is the only cigar restaurant in Istanbul. There are special cases that provide a constant temperature of 17°C in order to keep the cigars of the regular customers under special conditions. I can recommend Frog Legs, Sezar’s Salad, Onion Soup as a starter and Minute Steak with Choron Sauce as the main meal and Crème Brulee for desert. But all dishes are different and delicious. Of course, you can add a different flavor to the dishes with elite French wine. For example, I recommend Chablis from Antonin Rodet. Downtown is considered as a fine dining room which refers to the people with high life standards. A very warm decorated, Italian way of modern lighting, and furnitures attract your attention. The restaurant is combined of two sections: bar and the restaurant. Downtown restaurant’s one advantage beyond the others, is that it has higher popularity for the lunch time. But, it is as much popular at nights also. Downtown does not have serving time. Anyone can go and eat at anytime between 11am and 11.30pm. There is a parking problem during the day. Downtown actually refers to young generation unlike the other regular fine dining rooms.The staff is well educated and knows how to deal with the guests and the restaurant has high quality of service .
